and found the Duncan Family extremely pleasant and the accommodation and surrounds
were exceptional, which made our Rail Trail experience something to remember. Thank
you and see you on our next trip." |

"Our Wedderburn stay was great, from all aspects. Accommodation
was cosy and good, and we had a fun meal at the pub!
The farm tour was fascinating, as it gave such a good idea of the district's possibilities.
It was good to meet the Duncan family, and coffee and scones were delicious."

"I well remember the Wedderburn experience! Wonderful hospitality and
excellent meal; cosy and comfy units.
The welcome extended by the Duncan's was greatly enjoyable; I loved the morning
tea at the Homestead. Very interesting to hear of the 5th generation "on the
ground" and the development of the farm. The huge mobile irrigation system and
the cattle greeting us.

"We certainly remember the Farm
Tour and accommodation provided by the Duncans. Pauline and I stayed in the old
farmhouse and we certainly were more than comfortable.
We had a nosey in one of the new chalets and they also impressed us. We found
the facilities more than adequate and staying so close to both the trail and the
pub was so convenient. |

As for the farm tour it was one of the most informative tours we had. After having
traveled through some of the most historical areas
of Central Otago and then to come across some of the most modern farming techniques
was also quite an eye opener. Listening to Stuart talk about the history of the area,
including but not limited to just their immediate farm, gave us a great overview
of that part of the trail and added to the historical picture we had built of that
whole region. |
|
It is certainly a part of the trail that I felt was
appreciated by all on our tour. It is, I suspect, another display of Southern hospitality
by a family, who are very proud of their heritage
and want to share that with the traveling public, for example the old 1906 stables.
I would recommend that part of the tour to anyone."

"We visited the Duncan's farm Wedderburn during our Pure
Trails bike ride. We greatly enjoyed the experience and we appreciated the farm tour
and the way in which the Duncans answered our questions. The morning tea and scones
also went down very well. The sharing of information about NZ high country farming
in this time of urbanisation promotes a better understanding for many urban people
which is so necessary. All the best for future farm tours."

"What a great 9 holes of golf. This is the first golf course
in the world that I have ever played on where I could walk on to water and Tee
off on ice!"
